The Annual El Quixote Festival – Children’s Voices Launches “Roots and Laughter” Anthology in Puerto Rico
SAN JUAN, PR – The 11th Annual El Quixote Festival – Children’s Voices, from the North Carolina-based publisher Artist Studio Project Publishing, will begin this year in Puerto Rico. The festival will kick off on September 29th at the Historic Puerto Rico National Library, marking the 478th anniversary of Miguel de Cervantes’ birth. The main event is the launch of the new bilingual book: “Raíces y Risas: Cuentos y voces de mi Borikén | Roots and Laughter: Stories and voices of my Borikén“, an anthology created in collaboration with the Puerto Rico Department of Education.
El Festival Anual de El Quixote – Voces De Niños Lanza la Antología “Raíces y Risas” en Puerto Rico
SAN JUAN, PR – El 11.º Festival Anual de El Quixote – Voces De Niños, de la editorial Artist Studio Project Publishing (con sede en Carolina del Norte), dará inicio este año en Puerto Rico. El festival comenzará el 29 de septiembre en la Histórica Biblioteca Nacional de Puerto Rico, marcando el 478 aniversario del nacimiento de Miguel de Cervantes. El evento principal es el lanzamiento del nuevo libro bilingüe: “Raíces y Risas: Cuentos y voces de mi Borikén | Roots and Laughter: Stories and voices of my Borikén”, una antología creada en colaboración con el Departamento de Educación de Puerto Rico.
The book launch at the National Library will kick off a multi-week tour around the island, visiting the schools of the participating authors for readings. Additionally, cultural events will take place, such as a Quixotic Night at Cata Viva in Morovis on October 9th, and a Bilingual Children’s Book Fair on October 11th at The Mayagüez Children’s Library. The book is registered with the U.S. Library of Congress and made available for distribution internationally.
El lanzamiento del libro en la Biblioteca Nacional dará inicio a una gira de varias semanas por la isla, visitando las escuelas de los autores participantes. Adicionalmente, se llevarán a cabo eventos culturales como una Noche Quixotesca en Cata Viva en Morovis el 9 de octubre y una Feria del Libro Infantil Bilingüe el 11 de octubre en la Biblioteca Juvenil de Mayagüez. El libro está registrado en la Biblioteca del Congreso de Estados Unidos y está disponible para su distribución internacional.
